Matthias Weischer

Curatorship, News

Matthias Weischer: new work (November 26, 2011 – March 26, 2012)

Matthias Weischer: new work is the artist’s first one-person exhibition in the Americas.  His recent prints and paintings present a multifaceted interplay between color, light, and form, and his curious, layered compositions of patterns, shapes, and objects in artificial settings engage the mind and the eye with their absolute virtuosity.

This is the second of three exhibitions the museum has organized featuring the work of artists active in Leipzig, Germany. In 2007-2008 the museum presented David Schnell: Hover, and our next project, scheduled for late 2013- Spring 2014, will be a traveling retrospective of the work of Neo Rauch.  Major support for the present exhibition was provided by Coca Cola Puerto Rico Bottlers, and general support by Porsche.

Art sales at universities are a great idea! It’s very hard to get your name out as an airtst and using the universities facilities and means of advertising is a great leg up.

Learning from other view points: Teachers say…

Education

Let’s read what teachers have to say about Learning from different view points

– Esc. Agustín Fernández Colón, Cayey.

Learning from other view points

Education, News

Thousands of kids have enjoyed a visit to the Museum in the past few weeks!
